La valeur et la vulnérabilité des espaces agricoles du département du Doubs : identification et évaluation multicritère des espaces agricoles

This paper is part of the update of the atlas of the value and vulnerability of agricultural areas in the French territory of Doubs. It is a project initiated by the French “Direction Départementale des Territoires”, carried out in 2012 by the ThéMA laboratory, and whose update began in January 2019. The objective is to create a decision-making tool for spatial planning and development, for sustainable spatial management. This work presents the method for identifying agricultural areas in the Doubs and their evaluation based on a multi-criteria analysis built on four indices: environmental, spacial structure, financial assistance and labelling.

The study moves from the observation that, in the last fifty years (1961-2010) the territory of our country, like those of other countries with advanced economies, has undergone extensive economic processes of change in the use of land, mostly due to a strong reduction of Agricultural Area Use (AAU), whose consistency - on the basis of official statistics (National Statistics Institute) and, in particular, the results of the General Census of Agriculture - is estimated at around 7,8 million hectares, from 20, 7 million hectares in 1961 to 12,9 million in 2010. Formalization of scientific process and conceptual modelling for the study of territorial and products distribution dynamics (ArchaeDyn II programme)

International audience; The ArchaeDyn team has investigated territorial dynamics by comparing areas over long time spans between the Neolithic and Modern times. Datasets on various themes have been shared and indicators and analytical models produced. This paper presents both the formalization of the scientific process used in the ArchaeDyn programme and a conceptual model of the systems and components so that synchronic and diachronic comparisons can be made. The aim is to clarify the transition from an archaeological feature (a site or an artefact) or a recording unit (survey area) as the input, to the characterization of spaces describing a system as the output.
